Purpose:

Comparison of Digital Color Fundus Photography and OCT-Angiography in Detection of Diabetic Retinopathy in Type 1 or 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients

Methods:
|
To compare color fundus photography versus OCT-Angiography for detecting early diabetic retinopathy in patients with diabetes mellitus type 1 or 2 after 10 years.
|
|
Results:
|
Patients with diabetes mellitus type 1 or 2 more than 10 years without any clinical sign of diabetic retinopathy were included.
|
|
Conclusion:
|
In management of patients with DM more than 10 years clinical signs cannot effectively explain the disease progression. Therefore OCT-Angiography propose better diagnosis.
